Cumbersome and time consuming. That was the problem with Sullivan & Associates Sales, Inc.’s former sales and commission software.

The team knew time was being wasted on outdated software that was difficult to use and required the agency to enter non-essential information. But they didn’t realize the extent of the lost time until they used dynaMACS.

A referral led Sullivan & Associates to dynaMACS, and they liked what they saw from the start. The first time-saver was the ease of use and intuitive screens that made the implementation simple. “We really didn’t need any assistance. We were up and running in no time,” says office manager Reyna Vargas.

Gulf Atlantic Marketing battled with a custom software program for years. “Getting information was always a chore; the reports were clumsy and hard to format. Head Contract Solutions was expanding, hiring new sales reps, and trying to use Excel for sales and commission data. The agency needed deeper information than Excel could provide. So a hunt for new software commenced. Although hindsight is 20/20, the agency based its software decision mostly on price. It turned out to be a case of “you get you pay for.” Liz Head, owner and manager of Head Contract Solutions, described the software as “grueling.” It was not easy to learn or to use and the agency still wasn’t getting the in-depth data they sought. Mullen Corporation had used a DOS-based program for years, and it worked sufficiently for inventory management. But as technology became more sophisticated, the agency began to think there had to be a better way to manage sales and commission information. “It was taking a tremendous amount of time to enter information into the system,” says Eric Lewis, President of Mullen Corporation. The agency found that reports were not accurate due to the large number of manual entries. They say hindsight is 20/20. Looking back, Herb Schneider, General Manager of Metra Associates, wishes he had started using dynaMACS years ago. However as many people are when it comes to technology, “I’m a creature of habit, I didn’t want to change,” Schneider explains. He was concerned about losing valuable historical data when transitioning to the new software; and was so familiar with the keystrokes of the previous CAS software that he thought the data entering process would not be as user friendly.
